Training Course "Domestic Violence / one almost doesn't dare to leave the streets"

25.03.2026.

21-28.02.2026 Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany

The idea for this project emerged from recognizing the social need to address domestic violence as a global issue that transcends borders and cultures. In our work as people who work with the younger generation, we have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by victims and the lack of awareness and training in addressing the problem.

The aim of this project was empowering youth workers with knowledge, skills, and resources to identify, address, and prevent domestic violence, while promoting healthy and respectful relationships among young people and their families.

The specific objectives of this project were:

  • to educate youth workers on the causes, signs, and effects of domestic violence, as well as the societal and cultural factors that perpetuate it;
  • to equip youth workers with skills and resources needed to identify and address cases of domestic violence,
  • to empower youth workers to implement prevention strategies, raise awareness in their local communities and create supportive networks to foster long-term societal change against domestic violence.
