Playtesting session held in Stip: Students help shape the S.V.I.T.E memory game

29.11.2025.

As part of the S.V.I.T.E – Sporting Values: The Teen Edition project, our partner organization PEL (North Macedonia) organized a playtesting session at an elementary school in Stip. The activity took place during a physical education class, and was attended not only by pupils and teachers, but also by representatives of partner organizations from Serbia and Portugal, who observed the process and supported the testing of the game’s first draft.

Testing the first draft of the memory game

During the session, pupils explored the initial set of memory cards featuring situations related to sport values such as teamwork, fair play, respect, responsibility, and empathy. The young participants actively engaged with the game, matching pairs, discussing the examples on the cards, and sharing how these situations connect to their own experiences in sport and everyday life.

The playtesting aimed to evaluate:

  • clarity and relevance of the value-based examples;
  • overall playability and difficulty level;
  • how easily children understand and interpret the sport values,
  • which cards spark the most discussion, interest and learning.

Valuable feedback from young pupils

Youngsters provided insightful feedback — noting which cards were easy to understand, which ones needed clearer explanations, and which value-based examples were most relatable. Their reactions, comments and suggestions will help refine the final version of the game, ensuring it is age-appropriate, engaging and educational.

Teachers and school staff also shared positive impressions, highlighting the game’s potential to strengthen communication, cooperation and reflection among young learners.

A collaborative step toward the final version

The playtesting in Stip represents an important milestone in the co-creation process of the S.V.I.T.E memory game. By involving children directly in the testing phase, the project ensures that the final product is grounded in real user experience and supports learning in a fun, meaningful way. The improved version, enriched with feedback from participants in North Macedonia and other partner countries, will be used in the project's next activities and shared with schools, sport clubs and youth organizations.
