Final meeting of the GESP project
30.03.2023.
Throughout the project, Society Support Alliance (SSA) actively contributed to promoting inclusive practices in sport by leading and facilitating workshops, participating in the creation of the podcast series “Breaking Barriers: Women in Sport” and engaging with athletes, coaches, and sport professionals in identifying key barriers to gender equality.

The final meeting served not only as a reflection point, but also as a moment to mark new beginnings. Based on the podcast insights and in-depth discussions around the goals and needs of women in sport, the idea for a follow-up project – AthleteBrand – was developed. The concept, co-designed with RK Beograd and supported by FC Jedinstvo, aims to address the visibility, empowerment, and personal development of female athletes through tailored branding and leadership tools.
The proposal was officially submitted as a continuation of GESP’s thematic focus. Additionally, during the implementation of activity GESP 3.1, SSA signed a formal partnership agreement with FC Jedinstvo to jointly promote gender equality practices within the club. This cooperation emerged as a direct outcome of the GESP methodology, which encouraged cross-sectoral and club-level engagement.
SSA closes the GESP chapter with strengthened networks, new initiatives in motion, and a clear pathway toward fostering long-term structural change in the way gender equality is integrated in sports environments.
